Eating oranges   S23P in Orange   Poster

Today we celebrated Harmony Day here at school. The SRC (Student Council) organised the day: we dressed in yellow or orange and sold yellow and orange fruit at recess and lunch.

Everyone wrote a little bit about harmony and what it means to them. You can read more of what each person has written on their own blog.

Today is Harmony Day

When children’s smiles are as bright as a sunshine ray.

Today we work together

To make the world much better.

Where children have some fun,

Dressed in colours like the sun.

Friendship is celebrated today

Where lots of children like to play.

Harmony
Harmony means peaceful.
Everyone is cheerful.
It is when you share.
It is when you wear yellow and orange.
We work together to make a fun day.
We are all like bright suns.
We are happy as can be
We all chat like good friends do.
We all sell yellow and orange fruit and orange ribbons too!
At the end of the day we are as cheerful as can be!!

    Rebecca,
Our Otter, called Sandy, is a gift from Sandaig Primary school in Glasgow, Scotland. Our teacher, Mrs P, left a toy kangaroo with the Sandaig class when she visited earlier in the year. The two toys will be blogging to each other as we learn all about each others school and country.

Harmony day was really fun. We all enjoyed it even Sandy. We all dressed up in either yellow orange or muftiy. We sold orange and yellow food. Then after lunch we went back into our classes and, our teacher, Mrs.p, told us that we had to make up a poem about Harmony day. We all sat and thought hard and finnally one after another we started coming up with really good things.

Harmony day sounds fun. The colours look cool, yellow is one of school colours. Why do you wear orange and yellow?

Harmony Day was pretty fun. We raised $324.55 from Harmony Day, we use this money to get more equipment. I had fun selling the oranges. Lots of people chose to wear mufty than orange and yellow. It was so hard to think of a good poem for Harmony Day, but I managed.
