Basic Skills Writing Test

Today everyone in our class had to do the BST Writing test. Mrs P said that the only sound she could hear was the sound of brains thinking

Years 4 and 6 wrote a report about birds, and a review of a favourite book, movie or TV show; while Year 5 wrote about why we should keep our environment clean, and finished an imaginative story about a mysterious egg.

We had to plan our writing to get our ideas in order,
We had to write clearly about the topics,
We had to use correct spelling and punctuation,
Then we had time at the end to edit our work.

Whew! we are glad that’s over - until Thursday when we have the Language, Reading and Numeracy sections. Wish us good luck, sharp pencils, and good memories ;)
