Basic Skills Writing Test

Today everyone in our class had to do the BST Writing test. Mrs P said that the only sound she could hear was the sound of brains thinking 
Years 4 and 6 wrote a report about birds, and a review of a favourite book, movie or TV show; while Year 5 wrote about why we should keep our environment clean, and finished an imaginative story about a mysterious egg.
- We had to plan our writing to get our ideas in order,
- We had to write clearly about the topics,
- We had to use correct spelling and punctuation,
- Then we had time at the end to edit our work.
Whew! we are glad that’s over - until Thursday when we have the Language, Reading and Numeracy sections. Wish us good luck, sharp pencils, and good memories ;)

I think that the writing was quite easy though. We didn’t have do anything except write.

YAY! I’m first to comment. The test was so intense! Because it had effect to Dux and Prox ax. Dux is the smartest person in the school and Prox Ax is second smartest.
YAY! Second to comment! Even though I don’t know anything about birds. I hope I wrote a good report.

We sort of do the same thing what it is called the Aim test and you do it in grade 3, 5, 7 I think
Do you guys only have to do it once or do you do it like every day or just one day a week?

We do the BST (Basic Skills Test) over two days - Tuesday & Thursday.
