Wow! Your dragons look excellent. There is such a wide variety of colour – how did you choose the colours? I really like the 3D shapes that you came up with. How did you make the paper do all those interesting things?

I love dragons! We recently did some story writing on dragons in Year 4. Next year we might use your ideas to try some dragon making of our own (if that’s ok?)
Well done!

Mr O – thanks for your comments. We just cut and folded and bent the paper to make the shapes we needed.
Mr R – that’s fine if you want to try some dragon making too – it was fun.

All Stars, I just love your dragons! They rock!
Year 5, at Otley All Saints are also exploring myths and legends at the moment and have come across quite a few fantastical beasts. We would love to hear more about your Australian ones.
Have you come across the dragon of Krakow?

Hello Mrs Allison And Otley All Saints
We are glad that you like our dragons. We are looking up some great sites we know of about Australian mythical creatures and will post soon about them for you.
Some of us know about the dragon of Krakow what do you know?

Hi,
Thanks for commenting.
-Mrs Allison,
Here is a site about bunyips:

Yowies are also Aussie mythical creatures, but a couldn’t find a site about them. Hope to stay in touch.
Bye
-Mr Robertson,
Your classes stories must be interesting. I think that would be a great idea for your class to make some dragons. I think that is fine. Bye
-Mr Olyott,
The colours were easy, we just made them up !?! We did use a few books to help us with the designs and colours. We just made the base straight cardboard and the body up and down wavy.
Bye
