<p>We have found out many interesting things about religions, and the different ways that diffent people worship in their religion.</p>
<p>To try and keep track of the information we are finding, we have constructed  tables to put our info in. Each group had to come up with their own table/grid and the topics/ headings that they would be finding out about.</p>
<p>In this slide show you can see us working together to come up with our tables/grids. We are having lots of fun sharing our ideas, listening to each other and encouraging everyone&#8217;s ideas and thoughts.</p>

<p>Earth hour is a time where all electricital appliances are turned off to conserve electricity for 1 hour.</p>
<p>Globally, <a href="w.earthhour.org/" target="_blank">Earth Hour</a> will be held 8:30 pm &#8211; 9:30 pm on Saturday night, but we wanted our school to participate so we are having earth hour this morning.</p>
<p> Earth Hour has made us think about:</p>
<ul>
<li>How we can save electricity</li>
<li>How we can be in the future</li>
<li>How it was in the past</li>
<li>How it can help the future</li>
<li>Global warming</li>
<li>Sleeping!!!</li>
</ul>
<p> </p>
<p>Don&#8217;t forget if we use too much electricity we could be back in the DARK AGES!!!!!!!-(boom tish).</p>

They have been <a href="http://math.rice.edu/~lanius/Patterns/" target="_blank">using a website </a>to direct their investigations and have been using coloured blocks to represent different fractions.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The students seem to enjoy using the blocks and have had to think hard to find the correct answers. Working with a friend is very popular because we know that &#8220;two heads are better than one!&#8221;</p>
<p> </p>
<p>If you have a look at the photos you will see that the kids look like they are enjoying their Maths!</p>

<p> Here are the books we could choose from:</p>
<p> <a href="http://allstars.edublogs.org/files/2008/08/dsc05381.jpg"></a>  <a href="http://allstars.edublogs.org/files/2008/08/dsc05381.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-377" src="http://allstars.edublogs.org/files/2008/08/dsc05381-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" /></a>  <a href="http://allstars.edublogs.org/files/2008/08/dsc05382.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-378" src="http://allstars.edublogs.org/files/2008/08/dsc05382-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" /></a>  <a href="http://allstars.edublogs.org/files/2008/08/dsc05383.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-379" src="http://allstars.edublogs.org/files/2008/08/dsc05383-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" /></a>  <a href="http://allstars.edublogs.org/files/2008/08/dsc05384.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-380" src="http://allstars.edublogs.org/files/2008/08/dsc05384-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" /></a><a href="http://allstars.edublogs.org/files/2008/08/dsc05382.jpg"></a></p>

<p> </p>
<p>Each group meets every one or two weeks and decides how many pages or chapters they will read before the next Reading Circle Meeting.</p>
<p> While the group is reading their book, they keep an eye out for interesting or tricky or difficult or unknown words. These words are written down and their meanings are found.</p>
<p> When we have finished reading the chapters we write a brief summary, and make up 2 or 3 open-ended questions to discuss at the Reading Circle Meeting.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Here are some interesting questions we discussed today:</p>
<p> <strong><span style="color: #ff6600">The </span></strong><a href="http://www.librarything.com/work/9998" target="_blank"><strong><span style="color: #ff6600">&#8220;Dealing With Dragons</span></strong></a><strong><span style="color: #ff6600">&#8221; group discussed the question -</span></strong></p>
