We are talking about the five Keys to Success”:

  • Confidence
  • Getting Along
  • Resilience
  • Organization
  • Persistence

We investigated some successful Australians from the last century to see which keys to success they used.

We have made posters of the following people:

Sir Don Bradman – cricketer

Paul Jennings – author

Cathy Freeman – runner

Mandawuy Yunupingu – Aboriginal Elder

Christina Stead – author

Banjo Patterson – Writer

Shane Warne – cricketer

Kieran Perkins – swimmer

Ian Kiernan – Yachtsman 1994 Australian of the Year

Each of these people has been/ is very successful at what they do and we can learn how they used the “Keys to Success” to help them become successes in life.

Today we had a problem to solve in Maths – Capacity & Volume.
We had to make a 3D regular shape of 25 cubic cm using centicube blocks.

When we tried it individually, we couldn’t work it out. We tried and tried.
BUT
When we worked together in a group, we shared our ideas and came up with a solution!

Here’s what we came up with – one of the shapes is irregular and two are regular. Can you see which is which?
