At the start of each year we have Interest Groups each day for a week or so. Interest Groups are important because they help everyone get to know each other, they encourage people to try new activities, we get to work in smaller groups and with people we may not usually work with. We like to start the year with Interest Groups so that everyone can feel a bit more comfortable and familiar with other students and teachers and start off the year in a positive, friendly and exciting way.

This year we spent each afternoon for a week enjoying three activities in our classroom:

Games – wii, Nintendo DS, and Playstation 3

Cooking – ribbon sandwiches

Science – making “oozey gloop”
