Mario and Sonic at the Olympics

Standard

The AllStars are playing this cool game to finish up our work on the Olympics and “Healthy, Active Bodies” this term.

First up , we have been using the characters in the game to write new stories about what might happen when the different characters compete against each other in the Olympic sports.

Some competitors will be at a big disadvantage like Dr Eggman and diving, but others have some advantages like Mario and the hammer throw.

Ramiz has shared his story here, and other AllStars will be adding their stories onto their own blogs. Details and links as they become ready 🙂

Please let us know what you think 🙂

  1. Hey Allstars and Mrs P 🙂

How are you going? I am having fun blogging about cool things, anyway i really enjoyed playing the “Wii” and doing the Trampoline. It was so much fun! 🙂 I hope that i can get a “Wii” someday.

  2. Hi Mrs P & AllStars,
I enjoy playing the wii and the Olympic games sound great! The characters have cool names and are from 2 cool games(Mario & Sonic). The stories are great and very interesting. We could play those events with those characters, and see what happens!

  4. Hello Easter Carmuirs – its great to hear from you again!
    Welcome back to school 🙂

Mario & Sonic has been fun to play – its fairly easy to play – but some events are harder than others. Especially because we only have one nunchuck (you need this to help you run).

Sometimes we play the game for a whole session (between recess and lunch) but this usually happens when people are playing in small groups. Each group has about 15 minutes to play a couple of events.

We have kids in our class from age 8 to age 12 and everyone here enjoys playing. So probably ages 8 and up will like to play.

We usually play 4 people at a time, but this depends on the event and what we are using the game for.

Each person in the class has a favourite character so its hard to say which is the best one!

The graphics are simple but detailed, they look good – even on the big iwb screen.

We have been doing some writing about the characters too. Look at another post and our individual blogs to read what we have written 🙂

Thanks for your questions and keep coming back to our blog 🙂
