That Was So Difficult ! By Philip

“Today’s Friday,” announced Mrs Pericles.

“That means we are going to see the Sydney Harbour Bridge for our excursion,” replied Brian. Brian is 14 years old and  goes to KNHS. He has black, spikey hair with black eyes and white, pale skin.

“Come aboard!” said the train driver when he saw our class.

“OK, let’s,” said Mrs P.

The tremendous train got going, it was going as fast as lightening. Eventually we saw a glimpse of the Harbour Bridge. It was coming closer, like in a 3D movie. We were there! It was enormous and stupendous and wonderful.

“What’s happening?” yelled the girls. “We are hallucinating!”

“No guys, we are on the wrong track. I studied the map,” replied Brian in a depressed tone.

The train was getting faster than lightening, it was going as fast as fast as it could go.

“I am going to look for the train driver,” announced Mrs P.

Brian had no choice, there was a cliff in a few kilometres – he remembered the map clearly. Mrs P wasn’t here and the kids were shouting and ducking down. Brian ran to find a way to survive and save them all – he had a plan!

Brian had studied trains. “There should be an Emergency STOP button in the second carriage. There it is! It says: “Emergency button. Press to STOP the train”.

Brian jumped and smiled in triumph and pressed the button …….

“Grrrrrhhhhh!!!!!!” the train stopped.

That was so difficult!
