It is the end of Autumn here in Australia and it’s getting cold now. The other afternoon the wind was roaring, the temperatures were cold and we were FREEZING!
We investigated a little person called Jack Frost and found out about frost and really cold weather.
We decided to use some blue and white paint to create our own Jack Frosts.
First we dollopped some paint on our paper.
Then we used straws to blow the paint around.
Next we waited until the paint was dry and we drew in pointy and mischievous ( which means maliciously or playfully annoying; or causing annoyance, harm, or trouble) faces.What do you think – is this what Jack Frost looks like?
Jack Frost
Look out! Look out!
Jack Frost is about!
He’s after our fingers and toes;
And, all through the night,
The jolly little sprite
Is working where nobody knows.
He’ll climb each tree,
So nimble is he,
His silvery powder he’ll shake;
To windows he’ll creep,
And while we’re asleep,
Such wonderful pictures he’ll make.
Across the grass
He’ll merrily pass,
And change all its greenness to white;
Then home he will go,
And laugh, “Ho! Ho! Ho!
What fun I have had in the night!”

Hi Allstars,
Making our own jack frosts was fun because we got to create them how we like. 🙂 🙂

I think no, he doesn’t look like that, because I think Jack Frost has a body.
