Photo A Day – J

Standard

Today I am going to talk about the letter J.

In Australia the letter J can stand for many Australian things like for example: Famous Australian landmarks, Australian animals and ect.
To start off with:

Joeys: Joeys are young baby kangaroos, safe in its mother’s pouch until it grows big enough to look after itself then when times go by that joey will then turn into a full grown kangaroo.

Jungle: A jungle is an area of land in the tropics overgrown with dense vegetation.

Jetstar: Jetstar Airways is an Australian low-cost airline headquartered in Melbourne, Australian.

Jumbuck: Jumback is an Australian term for sheep.

Jabiru:Β  Is a kind of bird and the name Jabirus is used to name two other birds. The Jabirus bird is described something like this: Has long legs, normally has a black head with a black and white body. As well as that the Jabiru bird has a long big beak to scoop up the fishes in the water or in the pond.

Jessica Mauboy: Jessica Mauboy is a famous Australian singer and her background is Aboriginal and is very much loved by her fans all over the world.

    Greetings Lizzie,

I am very impressed by your blog entry. It is very creative. I am a 3,4,5 teacher from the United States. I found your class blog while I was researching for ways to integrate technology into my classroom. How do you like having a classroom blog?

You guys must really like that singer, i’ve never heard of her because I live in Canada. Those birds look really cool and the statue of the sheep. In Sydney there must be lots of kangaroos.
